Dear Babylon Students, Staff, Parents & Community Members:

As the classic holiday song goes, “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”! During this special season I find myself reflecting on the things I cherish – my family, my work with students and staff, friends and the caring professionals that I get to work with on a daily basis. These past few weeks have been filled with celebrations, such as drama productions, concerts, art shows, and athletic play-off games. These events continue to give us a glimpse of the special talents our students display whether they are artists, musicians, athletes, actors, writers, singers, scientists, etc. The students continue to be our bright stars that define Babylon Schools. Let’s use the season to celebrate them!

It is also during this season that our efforts once again turn to giving. It allows us to reflect on our personal blessings and realize the true meaning of the holidays. Our students, regardless of grade level, have spent the last month demonstrating the importance of helping those less fortunate, from food drives to toy drives and beyond. Despite their hectic schedules, they continue to give back. Let us also recognize their care, concern and generosity to others.

As we welcome in 2017 we have much to celebrate as well as much to look forward to academically during the New Year. On behalf of all of us in the Babylon Union Free School District, we wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and a very promising 2017.

Very truly yours,

Mrs. Linda J. Rozzi
Superintendent of Schools
